Post-award federal grant management services

We work with nonprofits, houses of worship, schools and local governments that hold a federal award directly or through a state or other pass-through entity.

In short

Bedrock helps recipients and subrecipients administer federal awards after selection. The organization remains responsible for its award, certifications, accounts, contracting decisions, and official records. The awarding agency or pass-through entity makes all approval and allowability decisions.

How responsibilities are divided

Bedrock helps recipients and subrecipients administer federal awards after selection. The organization remains responsible for its award, certifications, accounts, contracting decisions, and official records. The awarding agency or pass-through entity makes all approval and allowability decisions.

Most federal awards follow the Uniform Guidance at 2 CFR Part 200, plus the agency's program rules and the terms of the award or subaward. Your organization is the recipient or subrecipient. It keeps the official grant file and remains responsible for meeting the award's conditions.

The award terms, applicable federal rules, and the current instructions of the awarding agency or pass-through entity control. The federal grant compliance checklist lays out the public requirements in order, with separate guidance on allowable costs and budget changes.

Records, accounts, and certifications

Bedrock does not act as the organization's authorized representative, control its accounts or credentials, sign for it, or make certifications on its behalf. The organization's staff control its SAM.gov registration, payment-system and grant-system accounts, and bank accounts, and they keep the official grant file.

What we don't do

Bedrock is not an audit firm and does not perform Single Audits or issue audit opinions. We don't give legal opinions. We don't select contractors or decide which costs the organization charges to its award.

Who we work with

We work with organizations that hold federal awards from any agency, directly or as subrecipients, in Florida and other states. Nonprofit Security Grant Program subrecipients can see NSGP grant management for that program's process.

Agency decisions

We prepare and organize the work, but your organization remains responsible for its facts, decisions, certifications, and deadlines. The awarding agency or pass-through entity decides approvals, allowability, and payment. No outcome or agency timing is guaranteed.
